@mazyrun09 The Northern Irish troubles were not about religon! They were about a desire to end British rule in Northern Ireland by republicans! If you read the history of Ireland you see that there has been conflict between Britain and Ireland for many centuries from a time when both countries were Catholic. The two sides in the Northern Ireland conflict merely used the names Catholic and Protestant to identify each other. Not because they were actually devout believers in those faiths.

@monkeyapplenerd Its a classic example of people banding together and defeating state oppression,just like what I studied in our class about the history of the state and its relationship with its citizens...greetings from Catholic Philippines...

It is kicking off on mainland Britain now with students protests and protests against government cuts. Did anyone see the recent student riots in London a few weeks ago? The TUC are planning a massive anti-cuts demonstration in central London on March the 26th.

@BurntOakTree I did see the riots film online here, in fact I saw one video where one of the royals car was attacked. Don't mess with young people we are the most dangerous segment of the population.
