Testing rapid positioning - 10000mm/min (394 inches/min) - OK up to 13500mm/min (531 inches/min) then starts to lose steps.

  • I've upped it to 20metres/min - the X axis is only a NEMA 17 - problem was a slipping pulley on the Y. The drivers could do with upgrading, but 20K is plenty fast at that size :-)) Thanks for the comment. It's now sporting a set of sexy yellow perspex tops !

  • I would guess you are losing steps because of motor controller or motor voltage. A lightweight frame like that should be able to move about 10 times that speed with NEMA 23 motors. Keep up the good work. It's looking great!
