Tribute to an exquisite film Howard's End. Intellectual Margaret Schlegal falls in love with the conservative Mr. Wilcox. The Wilcoxes' house "Howard's End" is the center of a series of events that brings these two families together.

All credit and tribute goes to Merchant Ivory Films, Emma Thompson and Anthony Hopkins for a brilliant performance.

  • yeah first Howards End vid!!! that was brilliant! it's one of my fav movies, Emma is so moving, and Hopkins portrayed wonderfully Wilcoxe. Your editing's great too, the music is so beautiful! loved the "kiss" parts:D

  • thanks Edelwyn. I really enjoyed putting this together. It's just a beautiful film all around. :-)

  • just an amazing vid! Emma is such a great actress...and in this kind of movies like Sense and sensibility and this one in particulary I think she brings us her romantic side and it's beautiful. On the other hand we have the kiss between she and Anthony that was denied in The remains of the day,(so sad...)Well: good job with the vid!^^

  • thank you bunches! yes, romance was so evident all throughout this film between them. It is one of Emma's and Anthony's best. :-) Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  • The costumes in this movie are amazing! I adore this movie :D

  • They are! I know what ya mean. Gorgeous dresses and a lovely performance. This is one of my favorites too. Thanks so much for the sweet comment. ((((Hugs)))

  • I had forgotten about "Somewhere in Time"; I LOVE that movie! Thank you for putting that soundtrack.

    )O(

  • Can anyone touch Merchant & Ivory... or Emma in this role... stunningly filmed, and the story of English social and class structure and struggle we owe a thankyou to Mr.E.M.Forster for his great novel....

  • Women are such fools when it comes to men. Her desperation to feel legitimate as a woman, through marriage, led her down a path of dependence and ignorance. She was tricked out of her inheritance, lied to, decieved and silenced. All in the name of finally having a husband. What a sad state of affairs. Her sister knew this, that is why she was revolted by her, to the point of having to escape the madness.

  • In Mexico we said "each sheep with its pair" so in this case, if the movie already have its own music... for what do this?

En Mexico decimos cada oveja con su pareja y en este caso si la pelicula ya tiene su propia musica... para que esto?

  • Such a beautiful video! :)

  • Emma, Helena and Vanessa are my favorite actresses and the Howard's End is one of my favorite movies!

    Brilliant video!

  • One of my favorite books and the movie does it great justice. God knows what he is doing, making Anthony and Emma exist at the same time. Remains of the Day hurts everytime I see them aprt at the end...

  • I am perhaps the greatest fan of those bluebells, in one big drove they appear........

  • what kind of animal would blend this Edwardian English classic with a barber shop hollywood string teargas? Breakfast is in the morning, lunch is at noon, just ejoy the thing as it is alright? unless you have to make do with a brunch.

  • I watched Howard's End before I watched The Remains of the Day and I have to say I liked Emma and Anthony better in the latter. However, this video has made me reconsider it. They were a more romantic couple in this film, for starters they were a couple lol, and I did love the proposal and the way Emma knew, but for some reason I didn't warm to the movie. This fantastic video however has made me want to watch it again. Great job!
