r they iban?
-
I was going to say, before reading the first 4 year old comment.
They have the land, should have been growing the bamboo continuesly and other woods. Only takes a couple Machetes, and a few other metal tools, or fashioned stone tools and home made ropes to do what they were planning. Obviously education and skills, played a big part in delaying their endeavor.
Glad to see that they reserved the support they needed, to do what they wished.
Just to bad, the skills envolved, were lost with time.

the men are smoking cigarettes- causes need for money- if men are permanent residet-not guests like in iroquois- there will result overpopulation- & warring
-
iroquois the longhouse was belonged to grandmother sisters clan group-& nwomen/children all belonged to the clan- not to a man- the women also owned the communal farms- the men were guests of their wives mothers-men were gone hunting, trading, warring, sporti
ng etc-much like today-but today the women/her children have noone to defend them from the husband or from stranger when hes at work-he cant defend vs 2 men/or in war-so longhouse housing provide safety/selfsufficient job 4 women&her daughters -

Message from gemmabass. From the fund raising appeal around this short film, the community have managed to buy the tools they needed to start the buiding of their new traditional long house. Thank you to all those who helped in making this possible.
