A moment in Black History: Letting Go

In a time that we need it and history appears to repeat itself, Hate, Racism, Animosity cant stop love. It's people like Keith Bardwell that remind us Its time to let go of our prejudices and move forward together. we learn that there are many kinds of love, and love last through time. A much needed tonic to the venom that we are going through. As current now as it was 45 years ago. We will never forget but shall forgive.

I am simply stunned. A coworker forwarded this site to me saying that it would brighten anyones day. I didnt open it at first believing it was a simple forward. it wasnt until a couple of days later that i got around to my e-mails. i was home from work taking care of my ailing mother who is not doing well.. i saw the video and couldnt believe what i was hearing. it was as if it was speaking to me. I have many unresloved issues with my family and this gave me the strength to confront them

wow - this man has got some serious voice on him. these words he has spoken can relate to so many thing in life. i need to let go of my anger towards my dad for leaving us when i was seven. through the grace of God i married a good man and has been married for 20 years but i still resent my father for not being there while i grew up ... i am letting go ...

An article in Haaretz on February 18, 2005 titled, Not Jewish enough to marry a Cohen -Barakatin, Amiram 2005 Haaretz- reveals that in Israel the law forbids Cohens (Cohanim or Kohanim, the Jewish elite hereditary priest class), to marry devout Jews who have even a trace of Gentile ancestry.

Israel forbids Cohanim to marry anyone with evidence of any non-Jewish blood a thousand generations back.
