the issue is simple one spring doing a simple job pushing straight up to push out 7-8 rounds (single stack) one spring pushing 13-14 rounds trying to teter totter them out of a mag..that makes ur spring work twice as hard and also taking away from the reliability and simplicty of the 1911...if u have ever been over seas or trained with a special forces unit their is a reason they use single stack 1911 mags and not double..in truth your firearm is only as good as your magazine allows it to be

@kajuin318 well all other double stack mags in every other firearm the military-SF and every body else dont have a problem with double stack 1911 mags...they don't teeter the distance between double stack and single is about a inch maybe more and they slowly loose the stagger in the stack of rounds and at the top it is a single stack unlike a ar15 mag the mag isnt stripped from the left or right there is only on position center do you even have one...?

my double stack is my full size Hi capacity omni directional EDC ass whooper

and except the 41 mag my go to gun

get one you'll like the capacity you don't have to take my word for it

shoot one for yourself or stick to what you like its ok

but don't sit there and say its a spring issue there is no problem like you discribed

I notice the grips are a lot thinner on the double. Are they comfortable?

@rigthguard420 13-14 round mags depending on the mag brand/company. i think para has the best mags

having a double stack it's like haveing two 1911 mags with out reloading.

its kinda cool like having a seven shot revolver oh your out ....nope bang bang bang!
