@poitier111 I can see parts of that; there is a lot of those higher notes in there, even on Adam's standard, and so that is a just point. But he's sung this a number of times: obviously on Idol, but also at the Zodiac show twice. The first was primarily out of frustration, that gays just aren't widely accepted and the latter was because the gay and lesbian community was in it's own civil rights movement. So both of your points have standing.

@poitier111 But it wasn't all about that. If you know Adam, you'll know all the struggles he's been through, not just as an artist. He sings this for a reason. He sings it because he connects to it, and he knows what it's about. Adam's not just trying to show off his voice. He knows what kind of song it is, and he chose it because of all the tough times he's been through. And I'm sure most people too would agree.

What majic this man produces is incredible and yes he should have won - but we are te winners - just listen to his ranges of voice absolutely amazing

@sweetnutrient A change is gonna come is a classic blues song about a revelutionary time in American Histrory (The Civil Rights Struggle). Now I'm all for artistic expression, but there are some songs that can't be re-interpreted to be about a flashy self-indulgent performance. Adam was just trying to show off his high pitch falsetto. If you think about it, it was kind of disrespectful. Most people who understand this would agree.
