@badboyblue99 The test is in Taiwan, the driver is japanese and there are japanese and taiwanese technicians. Probably they're testing the performance of the train at the taiwanese track.

The taiwanese hsr track was built by europeans and probably requires some checks to run the japanese trains.

Negative, this test run was in the south of Taiwan. I can see the Traditional Chinese words on the road under the high level railway.

Japanese retired shinkansen train driver have been drived at THSR.

It's because to confirm the whole system - ATC, air band, YUREDAS and other) and level of tracks - and to train Taiwanese CTC(Centralized Traffic Control)system operator.

Furthermore, 700T has NEVER been done traial-run at Japanese(JR's) real railtrack(except with doing at maker's test track at their plant - but only 300 meters!).

All of actual test run was done at THSR.

this video was of its test in Japan, With obviously Japanese spoken by Japanese technicians. The trains are Japanese designed and made.

Trains are made in Japan based on shinkansen, but the infrastructure is eurorail. Drivers are French or German while the Taiwanese are being trained. NO Japanese drivers at all. None wanted to come to TAiwan, they liked their jobs in Japan.
