Pupation Process ( Autumn Leaf )

The process started at about 11.30 pm in the evening with the caterpillar attaching itself to the leaf. It was not until in the morning that the skin started to split apart, but in the mean while there was a lot of internal body movements indicating a transformation going on inside the caterpillar.

However with the intense struggle to rid itself of the old skin it also broke the anchor that held it up on to the leaf.
