CHANDI- PATH ; CHANDI-KAVACHAM

As told by Brahma to the sage Markandeya, these stotras are intended for divine protection. The section begins with description of NavaDurga and salutations to various forms of the Divine mother, the deities protecting the different directions (east, west, up, down, agni, naihrit etc.). Then it mentions each and every part of the human anatomy and invokes the protecting deity for each. It goes on to pray for longevity,virtue, good name and wealth; protection of son, wife, daughter and the path to absolution.
