@MurphGiovanni I have had in my day a few beers...Back in the late 70's I also did some sweet leaf in college...I always felt I could take it, but I think later, if I had kept it up, I would have damaged myself.
You are so correct when you said about sense of humor in hockey players.

@1Easygoingdoc haha...man, i'm still in my 20's....but after about four years of smoking cigarettes and drinking too many beers, all of my endurance faded away...it's still a lot of fun though...one thing i've always found is that hockey players tend to have great senses of humor

@MurphGiovanni Wow! Impressive you played college-level! LOL! I ride bike daily to keep somewhat in shape. But it has no comparison to hockey with all the equipment. Us old dudes just laugh when in the locker room...The 20-something players can run us dead.

@1Easygoingdoc yeah, man...haha, i hear ya...i am pretty washe dup myself...i played some college puck...then took a few years off...it is NOT like riding a bike...two minutes on the ice and i was gasping for breath...i took for granted how strenuous the game is

@MurphGiovanni Ah! Us old guys are benders, then. If I can play one minute at my age, I am happy. hehehe. I just love playing the game. I got started playing on frozen ponds in MN. In my first game against another squad I got hit with a stick right in the face (we didn't have facemasks).
I cannot believe all the videos of hockey and baseball on YT. YT is an incredible thing.

@1Easygoingdoc actually...on second look...these guys are not that bad...at all...actually pretty good...i must've been in a bad mood when i first watched it...
but a bender is someone who skates with their ankles bent...basically a slang term to connote sloppy skating form
