Hi all.
Really hope you enjoyed watching fable 2 as much as i enjoyed playing it :)
I thought it might be interesting to do a small review of each game Im working on or have worked on for the GAZArts channel to let you guys know what i think.
So without further ado i think Im going to kick things off with a short review of fable 2. Now first i have to say this game is just brilliant. The game begins more than 500 years after the events of the original. You dont necessarily have to have played the first game but there are quite a few references to the first game.
The story, the environment, the character graphics and humour are all fantastic, Peter Molyneux definitely delivered what he promised. I know Ive said this on fable 1 but i really do get a kick out of playing an RPG that has a lot of British humour and a variety of British voice actors.
Growing up with pretty much America & Japan dishing out the majority of the great role playing games, i was greatly surprised upon first buying fable 1 as i wasnt aware of anything about the game other than it was an adventure game.
The British factor defiantly brought the fictional world that lion head had created more closer to home I mean it was defiantly a first for me to see a welsh fictional character in one of my quests in the first game. But back to fable 2. I liked how you can also buy property and even rent it out at a price of your choosing. I also think its great that your character can get a steady income whilst running off questing somewhere.
Another great feature is that even when your console is turned off your character is still going to be earning his income. So when you finally load your game you will get like 10 in game days worth of income (depending how many days youve been away from the game)
The good or evil aspect of the game is just as enjoyable as the first game with your dogs appearance as well as your characters changing according to choices you make from the beginning. I also like the cooperative system they've created and implemented. Being able to play the game through with a friend or even just to explore their version of Albion is a great feature. And i especially like how you can decide how to share the experience and gold with each other. Theyve also added a feature that lets you see anyone on your friends list that are playing fable 2 in your own world represented by a small orb. In fable 2 there isnt a mini map, instead the game hands you quite a bit of freedom with the use of the bread Crum trail where as the player can go from quest to quest or quite literally go off road to explore.
Sadly as with all games there are some things about the game that arent so great. For one the game for me felt quite short in terms of length. I mean i purposely stopped playing the main story quests to go and do the side quests just so i could make the game last longer. Even by doing this i had completed the main story within 2 days. I also felt that in terms of inventory, clothing and weapons there should have more a lot more variety. I managed to generate quite a bit of income early on into the game so i went to the stores and bought the best i could find.
Unfortunately the stores never get anything new so i was stuck with pretty much the same gear for most of the game. If it wasnt for the use of colourful dyes my hero would have remained looking like the campest hero in Albion history.
My last and final problem with the game is with the cooperative play. When Peter Molyneux talked about the cooperative play i thought you would have been able to join a friends game with your own character. Instead what you have is a few template choices you pick to enter your friends game with. You get to transfer your own characters abilities but not appearance or weapon.
In conclusion on a scale of 1 to 10 i give fable 2 an 8/10. For what the game lacks in length it makes up with everything else so if you own an Xbox 360 this is a game you should defiantly add to your Christmas present list.

Man, I just beat this game yesterday. Even though the Main Quest was short, it was still very awesome. I especially liked the ending where you got to make a wish. Now I can't wait to buy some DLC on Xbox Live! =D
some of the people on the credits are either fat, skinny as shit or really retarded looking. ^_^ atleast its not chinese creators. theres alot of them going around on games and crap like that. ^_^
