I like the analysis here and the appreciation of the philosophical roots, which is key in truly understanding most any tradition forms of martial arts. The last application seems particularly useful; I'll keep it in mind for frontal grabs. Thanks for the insight!
Sure. You can't learn all the forms. And you have to learn in a progressive way. At the beginning, you don't know more forms than a boxer does. Try to learn only when you feel bored.

@keydet035 I agree with u. Every series on movements are to down the attacker. This is NOT real bunkai.. he's guessing

Do you feel that Karate has a little to many kata forms? Its really hard to learn.
