Scoliosis is a crooked spine. Its name comes from the Greek word meaning crooked. As the spine grows, it literally bends to the side. At the same time, the vertebrae in the spine may twist or rotate. Since the ribs are attached to the vertebrae, they can twist as well, protruding on one side of the back and on the opposite side of the chest. One shoulder may also appear to be high or low, and one shoulder blade may protrude more than the other. In addition, one hip may be higher or more prominent than the other.

  • supposed to have your shoes off for the screening.

  • @islandblader Thank you for your comment. During the Initial screening flat shoes do not need to be removed. During secondary screening the shoes should be removed.

  • so if you right should sits lower then you left. dise that mean you have it? I know a lot of ppl that are right handed and their left shoulder is a bit higher then their right. my left should is a little higher then my right. even in this video I boys left was lower then his right.

  • @tricksterD8 Although a shoulder elevation is one sign of scoliosis, a shoulder difference does not mean that you have scoliosis. Only your doctor can determine if you have scoliosis. At your next visit, please discuss this with your doctor.
