  • these are 3 year old batteries from Duracell; I even went in the water 1 year ago with this Mag; yeah the procedure for taking the head off was devastating haha

  • you see it on the table, it's just TERRALUX with 140lumens

I can buy LEDs with 900 lumens but I have to make a heat sink....

  • @golfpowerski 900 lumen LED??!! Where? and how much?

  • @ayotollah The biggest I`m aware of for a Mini Mag is a claimed 100 Lumens from the Terralux MiniStar2 TLE-5EX from Battery Junction for about $20. I have not used this one but it gets good reviews on Battery Junction. Its a drop in kit that comes with a new reflector.

  • @mmmmmnnnnn55555 Where do you buy those cheap bulb for maglite i want to buy 150 lumen for Maglite 2AA is there any?

  • @ayotollah I have the Terralux 140 Lumen drop in for a 3 D cell Maglite. Its a whiter, brighter light than the Xenon bulb form Maglite. The main advantage is supposed to be much longer battery life but I havent had it long enough to judge that yet. Most reviews say it can double or even triple your battery life.

  • @ayotollah From Wiki - The lumen (symbol: lm) is the SI unit of luminous flux, a measure of the power of light perceived by the human eye. Luminous flux differs from radiant flux, the measure of the total power of light emitted, in that luminous flux is adjusted to reflect the varying sensitivity of the human eye to different wavelengths of light. The lumen is defined in relation to the candela by

    1 lm = 1 cd·sr

Short version, higher # means a brighter light

  • @mmmmmnnnnn55555 so u meant the lumen determine brightness of the bulb?

  • @ayotolla Nite Ize are the bottom of the upgrade pack. Terralux makes brighter kits. The 1 watt dropins are 50 lumens. The next step up is 140 lumens, then 700 lumens at the top of the line. Just browse their website for specs.

  • yey, Retains focusing ability!

  • took ya long enough to get the flashlight head off lol
