Occupy Wall Street,99%,Liberty Sq.10/11. An intimate portrait of the spirit, energy & values represented by daily life, creative activities & concerned citizens of all ages, backgrounds, with different grievances standing united in their determination to change our dysfunctional political. economic and social system mid-Oct. 2011.

Background: In Sept. Occupy Wall Street transformed Zuccotti Park into Liberty Square. In towns and cities across this country and beyond, concerned citizens identified themselves as the 99%. and united together. Passionately and nonviolently voicing differing concerns, grievances, anger, and frustrations, the 99% OCCUPY movement has succeeded in raising awareness and shifting the political, economic and social conversation,

Film Synopsis:
The film takes us on a subway ride down to Wall Street and walks us pass the NY Stock Exchange. We arrive at the park where graceful green trees are nestled in the shadows of the new Trade Center, Mark di Suvero's red steel sculpture Joie de Vivre ("Joy of Life") soars 70 feet high and peaceful citizens display handmade protest signs as police officers instruct curious pedestrians to "keep on walking"

Moving through the park, we witness creativity and exuberance as well as frustration and outrage. We meet citizen activist and bystanders from diverse backgrounds with diverse grievances. Despite differences, we observe discussion group participants speaking and listening with mutual respect. The park resonates with a passionate refusal to remain hostage to corporate greed and the determination to restore the democratic promise.

Inspired, doubtful, or both: "What does the Occupy Movement mean to you?"
Listening to citizen activist from differing backgrounds express diverse opinions and experiencing life in the park, the film intends to answers questions as well as to raise them--furthering the conversation.
