@ceruleanmist111 no because remember Ling is just a punk from the streets right now, who lives in a bad neighborhood, is doing poorly in school and gambles. While the stepfather has a nice business and there are witnesses that he is a "family guy" while there are witnesses that ling is a violent guy. And Qi Luo doesnt want to get her step father in trouble because she wants him to protect her mother regardless of how much she hates him

No, first of all this is Taiwan, which does not operate under the Communist regime, regardless of whether it is a part of China or not.
Secondly, communism is a government, not a justice, system.
Third, communism has no principle that says the law leans towards older men in a lawsuit. Even if so, then that is true for all justice systems, whether it be under democracy or communism, because favoring "respected" people is a social bias.
