Game footage of the beginning of the main part of Tokimeki Memorial 2, the High School part, on PS1.

So, you, the player, seven years after that fateful day, come back to Hibikino, as a Hibikino High School student. On the entrance ceremony's day, you'll meet again Hikari. Later in the week, you'll get to know Hikari's best friend, Kotoko, and then your future rivals in love, Junichiro and Takumi, the latter guy being also the (unreliable if he targets the same girl as you) "info man" of this game.

Basically, all these sequences serve as an introduction to the High School part's scenario.

As of May 20th 2010, this video is fully subbed in English, by yours truly ! Enjoy, everyone ! ;)

  • I never played TokiMemo2, but Sakaki seems like a MUCH cooler friend to have than Saotome from TokiMemo1... Having seen it in action, I really want to try this game now!

  • @kettoshii

Personnally, I like Yoshio MUCH more than Sakaki. Sakaki is one evil little guy, playing the cute child all while being a really calculating fellow. On the other hand, I really like the protagonist's other friend, Jun, who's a nice and caring guy, and really funny to see when he's in love. To each his own tastes, ha ha ha :p

I'm glad you're interested in playing the game, if you ever need some help or info about it, don't hesitate PMing me! ;)

  • I like the BGM of Hikari. But why,,,, why did you cut your hair!!!!!

  • @shusaku2008

    I too, I love this BGM ! :D

But as far as I'm concerned, I prefer her short hair cut. Well, considering that she's my fave char in this game, that Saki is my fave in Tokimemo 1, and Hanna is my fave in TM1's spiritual successor game Mitsumete Knight... I do like long hair though. All depends if the hair cut fits the char IMO. :p

  • @AceNoctali

Good point. Her short hair gave her sporty, sexy look. Creator might have decided to make her hair shor to distinguish Hikari from Shiori in TM1. Also, having lot of other heroine with a long hair(Kasumi, Kotoko) in TM2 could be the other reason too.

Saki in TM1 had very similar characteristics that are also existent in Hikari. They both are outgoing, cheerful, and very pure and loyal in regard to love life.

I guess these are the streaks of the ideal wife in your vision!! :)

  • @shusaku2008

Which makes things ironic as Kotoko has short hair in her Junior High times, as revealed in Memories Ringing On XD

It's true that a few of my fave chars in those series fit the description, but not all of them :p Kaori is far from being outgoing, and Mei and Maho are much more cunning than others. ^^''

But between you and me, I don't play TM games as a substitute for love (but for their chars' scenarios, and the strategy part). I would be a sad being if that was the case XD

  • Anybody else think Hikari is kawaii(cute) besides me? I don't know if it's her personality, voice, appearence, or all of the above? Is the rest of the game subbed somewhere on YouTube? This was the only part I could find unless I'm not looking hard enough? I'm not too crazy for Kotoko, but I really like Hikari. Then again, I tend to go for main heroines in RPGs & dating sims so it's no surprise to me that I prefer Hikari over the others. Does this have an English Patch or an Emulator yet?

  • i hope there will be english sub...I understand japanese spoke, but not the writing...so hard katakana,,,hiragana,,,,kanji,,,aw,,

  • i hope there will be english sub...

  • @AceNoctali

Right. A fiction must remain in our hearts as it is.

I give these series a big complement for their dynamic gameplay such as interactions, violent-free contents and variation of minigames.

Second one even amazed me more with the improved storytelling and charaterization.(A childhood part was really awesome whenever I looked back during highschool season.)

By the way if's sad for me to realize that I can't marry Kotoko.:)
