Love it. The words are so beautiful!

HOW does he do that with his voice at the end "How I Love You Girl ... I love yoooouuu" ... it grows these amazing harmonics!
-
If we can do that then I have a SERIOUS case against Richard & Karen Carpenter (1970-1973).
Bless The Beasts And The Children, Crystal Lullaby, Maybe It's You, Goodbye To Love, etc. etc. etc.

Has anyone else noticed, the way he says "I love you girl" at the end... I mean, there are a thousand songs who say the words "I love you" but ive never heard anyone say it like Garfunkel. does. He sings it like he honestly, truly, heart shakily means it. He puts the meaning of the word back into it.

So beautiful. So haunting and innocent. Now, somany "love" songs are crude, selfish 'doin' my 'ho', and things like that. This is just an ordinary person who's just awed and enamored at the beauty of his lover. It's a song of overwhelming thankfulness for her love for him.
