  • @Terranscapes Thank you! That did help indeed. Do you think the Krylon latex spray paint might be ok on the foam?

  • @Trollvomit OOh, maybe. I haven't used that before and I forgot that they released it. I've seen it on the shelf however. You might try it and just spray a scrap of foam to make sure. Let it sit till its dry just to make sure. I would love to hear the results. :) Saying that, be prepared to need a lot. Spray cans are a lot more expensive on a $/oz basis so if doing a big project, just painting it on might still be the way to go.

  • Neat, I just bought the Hot knife and the Crafters Scroll Table Set. I'm pretty new at this and was wondering, What is the best way to paint and flock a foam board? Is there some sort of spray I can apply to the foam that will allow me to spray paint it? And what's a good product to use to protect a finished piece? Thanks so much, I really enjoy your videos!

  • @Trollvomit Good purchases. They will serve you well. I don't know of any sprays for priming that are foam safe. I think latex is a great primer for foam but any water washable paint will work. For techniques, I recently did a terrain tip segment for the Painting Tabled podcast - episode 12 that covers sanding/painting/flocking hills that really applies to most projects. Check it out and let me know if you find it helpful. :)

  • Hi do u know will it cut e foam or pick and pluck foam thanks

  • @redeyeboy100 Just did a quick test and it does cut pick and pluck. Cuts a little more slowly and offgasses more but will go through it.

  • @manicbash You won't be disappointed. :) I've been using it ever since and its a solid design.

  • Thanks for this review. I was considering buying the hot knife for a foam costume project and you've convinced me to.

  • @HumaKaVoola8900 Thanks. I might do that.

  • Just a thought, you might want to buy a piece of posterboard to put behind anything you want to show to the camera, so that the camera could focus on it easier and you wouldn't have to struggle to put your hand in the right spot.

    Thanks for the great videos!
