This is the first in a series of tutorials on how to make a Custom 2K10 Cover.

It is suggested that you leave the annotations on or this tutorial will be a lot less effective.

Lighting is the most important part in graphic editing. It is imperative that you use proper lighting on your main photo, since it will be the focal point of your cover.

Lighting is done by duplicating numerous layers (CTRL + J) and applying varied filters, layer blending modes, and opacites.

NOTES:

The filters I used were Motion Blur, Radial Blur, and Render Clouds.

I also went over the layer with an "Overlay" soft brush to touch up all of the excessively dark/light areas.
