Shield Specialist:
2/2 Brutal Impact - 6% High Impact Bolt Damage - Essential, High Impact Bolt is your largest burst ability and can be used quite often due to talents in the Assault Specialist tree.
Tactics:
2/2 Demolition - 6% Elemental Crit - Pretty good, nothing else to really get in the first tier. Could possibly get 10 seconds off of Cryo grenade but not worth it, imo.
3/3 Focused Impact - 60% Armor Penetration on High Impact Bolt - Essential, gives you solid damage with High Impact Bolt even vs. high armored targets.
1/1 Blaster Augs - 3% Tech Crit Chance - Amazing for one point. Nothing else to really get.
Assault Specialist:
3/3 Ionized Ignition - 100% Chance to proc Plasma Cell with Ion Pulse - Amazing, essentially adds ~800 damage to your Ion Pulse, and gives you a dot for High Impact Bolt.
2/2 Heavy Stock - 6% Stockstrike Damage - Great for 2 points in the first tier.
3/3 Super Heated Plasma - Increases Plasma Cell damage by 30% and chance to be triggered by 6% - Great for 3 points. Plasma Cell does a lot of damage over an entire warzone and helps you get a dot from auto attacks if you're at range.
2/2 Sweltering Heat - 50% snare when Plasma Cell is triggered - Amazing overall. Allows you to perma snare melee and kite them with your 10m range and help to slow down runners.
2/2 Parallactic Combat Stims - Generates 1 Ammo Cell whenever CC'd - Amazing, one ammo cell is great to help increase your cell regeneration if you drop too low, and just gives you a lot more DPS overall.
2/2 High Friction Bolts - 30% ArP on High Impact Bolt, refreshes plasma cell and generates one cell - Amazing. Bread and butter skill for Assault Spec. Makes it so an Ion Pulse proc + High Impact Bolt only costs 1 ammo cell. Amazing DPS per ammo cell use.
1/1 Incendiary Round - Long ranged dot - Great damage, gives you a guaranteed dot if you need to use High Impact Bolt, great DPS overall
2/2 Rapid Recharge - Reduces Recharge CD by 30 seconds - It's really amazing how much this actually does. Really helps during prolonged fights where you're starting to run low on ammo.
3/3 Ionic Accelerator - Ion Pulse has a 30% chance and Stockstrike has a 45% chance to make the next High Impact Bolt free and resets its CD - Another bread and butter talent for Assault Spec, gives you incredible DPS and burst.
2/2 Reflexive Shield - Reduces the CD of Reactive Shield by 3 seconds whenever you take damage(1.5 sec ICD) - Amazing when you're getting focused in PvP since you'll be in close quarters a lot of the time.
3/3 Rain of Fire - 9% more damage to burning targets - You'll pretty much always have a target on fire, so this is also an amazing talent.
2/2 Assault Trooper - Increases crit damage by 30% for Plasma Cell, High Impact Bolt, Incendiary Round, and Assault Plastique - This is amazing and makes stacking crit essential for a Trooper.
2/2 Adrenaline Fueled - Reduces the CD of Adrenaline Rush and Reserve Powercell by 6 seconds whenever you crit(1.5 sec ICD). - Great since it allows you to get more free shots and your 15% HoT up quicker.
3/3 Burnout - 3% Tech Crit Chance and 30% dot damage on targets under 30% - Not really that amazing, but there's not much else to put points into.
1/1 Assault Plastique - High damage single target grenade(replaces Sticky Grenade) - Amazing for single target damage. This crits upwards of 3.5k for me. Can use High Impact Bolt as it blows up to do some crazy burst damage.
