Derren Brown - Astrology is a Scam

After learning that roughly 25% of Americans, Canadians, and Brits believe in astrology, I wrote an article about it on my site. My focus was on how it's basically a scam used to make a lot of money. I wanted to include this Derren Brown video at the bottom of my article to give people a visual demonstration of a test I placed inside of the article, but embedding was disabled. That's the only reason I've decided to upload this video. I don't own it. I'm simply reporting on the topic and wanted to show this clip to educate people.

@axiomic Problem with Derren Brown is that because he makes his living being a liar, it is very difficult for him to acknowledge a truth he doesn't understand. Many magicians and mentalists have a similar attitude as Derren, interestingly enough, most of them like Derren are homosexuals as well. We are slowly entering the Schopenhauer third stage of truth. Here in L.A. everyone just accepts the truth of astrology, it is no big deal.

You've got it all wrong dude. This has nothing to do with cold reading. He wrote the same piece of paper for all participants, likely well in advance of meeting any of them.

This is just a demonstration of cold reading, magicians and mentalists do it all the time. This guy knows nothing about real astrology, palmistry, or any of the other so called arcane arts, in a word, he is just another fearful phony, actually that's 6 words, but you get the idea.

Why you choose to denigrate Focus on the Family is really not to bright, perhaps you are a homosexual and that is why you mention that group. Whatever your reasoning abilities, they are not to good, that is what happens to AIDS victims, the brain goes first.

A fairly good demonstration of cold reading, not a test of anything else. I hear this guy Derren Brown is a homosexual, if that is true then we have here a fellow who obviously has problems with reality, now if he isn't in tune with nature and his gender it is very reasonable to conclude that he will have difficulties with a whole bunch of other realities such as astrology, palmistry, etc. Debunking rather than actually researching is a cowardly thing to do.
