I found working with large trees is the best. You can gather a lot of material quickly and I staple onto a board or exposed rafter in Garage. Drys out flat and last forever. Just carefully remove and steam or soak in water. Cut with tin snips, scissors or knife. Made many sheathes high quality with para cord and special brass hole punch rivets from scrap booking store. Great Material!

Woodsmans tea made with birch sap. Sweet as honey. Slice the tree about half inch, insert a small clean stick to encourage the sap. Leave a container on the ground for about an hour.
Boil it up and even add pine needles. Nothing better.
Good vid man.

@cooper1768 yeah, surprisingly just dont expect it to go through a bomb zone with you (though it might) the older and more brittle the bark gets, the less mailable it is. but the bark i used was quite fresh so it'll hopefully hold for a few more years or so.

yarrow is a good mosquito repellant.
have you ever tried birch bark tea? it's fairly tasty, and really good for you. but it's a super diuretic so you shouldn't drink it if you're dehydrated. it's good for detoxifying the body.
thanks for posting the part on how to remove birch bark, i've been trying to find out how to do that for a long time now.
