Ok, do this: don't concentrate on that particular object. Look at the dots flying in from the right, and how they react to the flash of light. Are they all alien spacecraft that for some reason decide to instantly change direction? Keep fantasising if you like, but these are ice particles flying close to the Shuttle.

It's Shuttle-generated ice debris that gets pushed aside by the reaction control system rockets firing. At 0:28, the camera pans.

No one can doubt the intelligence in that maneuvre it was like a "prmeonition" of an attack which gave it a few seconds headstart to move. Why shoot at it ffs. For all we know the Solar System is now a quarantine zone by the rest of the galactic community.
