Dr. Marc Mayberg explains what causes pituitary tumors. They are rarely an emergency. There is always the time and opportunity to go around and talk to doctors. 5%-10% of the population has a small tumor in the pituitary gland. The majority of these never come to attention. However, some of those tumors will grow. Management of tumors depends upon the size of the tumor, effect on hormones, and growth of hormones. What causes pituitary tumors is still unknown. Appreciate your video but I think doctors need to be educated about the seriousness of these. Many people have suffered for several years and developed several offshooting deadly diseases too and are practically on their death beds with the diseases now so advanced they can't be reversed, before their doctors will even test them.

I'm so angry about the way doctors react to tumours. Even when mine was only about 2mm it caused such serious change to my body that it stopped my menstruation. As it grew & grew I developed many many deadly diseases as a result, before doctors finally took it seriously. Many pituitary tumor patients have to put up with not only the feeling of death from day to day because they "are dying, rapidly" but also intimidation by their doctors who imply they are simply overweight hypochondriacs.
