Walking Natural Park Madonie and Nebrodi - www.geoparktravel.com
In the first part of the tour, the protagonist is the Madonie Park a real botanical paradise with its peaks reaching 1979 meters high. It houses more than half of 2,600 species which are in Sicily and about 150 of the 200 endemisms. The most representative one is the "Abies Nebrodensis" - 29 specimen. The fauna is characterized by 65% of breeding birds and all mammals which are in Sicily. The geological and landscape aspects are also very important. In the second part of the journey, we will live the emotions of landscapes and territories of the Nebrodi Park with a visit to the waterfall of Catafurco, the Lake del Biviere, and the Rocche del Crasto the only mountainous limestone formation in the Park.
