http://twitter.com/nycvlog Hurricane Irene hit New York City as a tropical storm but there was still some damages, a lot of fallen trees and flooding in downtown Manhattan, beaches, and in areas close to rivers and the ocean.
This footage was taken in Richmond Hill Queens NYC
@NinjaXFX All depends if you count Research as experience in the field.
Anyways there is no way to 'shut off' an element, Uranium's radiation generates heat, this heat heats up water in pipes which then turns into steam which runs turbines. If there is no water to carry the heat away and turn into steam it will start to meltdown everything around it. That is why nuclear plants need to be beside major water sources. If you don't want to hear the truth then I suggest you go back to fox news.
@TheTrueJBV3737 Cool, any other info i need to know? I've read up on this way before about Chernobyl so its nothing new to me im sure they have something other then just letting disasters just ruin the power plant... theres gotta be a backup plan to shut it down you honestly think you know alot do you work there? No im sure you dont.
At 4:25 I felt sad for that classic car that feared for its life... but luckily it was not thrown out of commission, as it would be had the tree next to it fallen
@NinjaXFX shows what you know dude, they cant be shut down. they need to keep the rods cool, and if they cant do that = meltdown. > They need a constant flow of water to them via generators pumping water around, if a hurricane floods the plate the generators done have air to run and get wet, or an earthquake cracks the plant damaging it causing a leak in the pumping. Where fucked. Nuclear power is a W.E.E. (World Extinction Event)
What a joke, looks like a storm went through. Wheres the dead bodies and the total devastation. The media really hooked some suckers with this big scam. Fools.
Whose gonna pick up all these twigs!?
