  • nice car and superior sounds. i would love to drive a car like that when i go to the grocery store, to scare the kids and oldtimers in the underground garage by pumping gas..haha :D

  • That's sweet....

  • cool my neighbor across the street has a flat black 40 coupe, with side pipes and aluminum slots he hasnt done anything with it since 1960 what a waste, him and the car

  • Of course it had a throttle pedal. The knob he pulled on the left is for high idle to warm the engine faster, especially in cold temperatures.

  • This is why Ford used to outsell every other car/truck maker in the U.S. But if a flathead ever overhested, the block would crack between the cylinders and ruin it. Thus the need for overhead valves.

    Nice truck!!

  • This year had no throttle pedal?

  • Paint-suggestion --mandrin maroon--(body)

fenders black Tan leather seat.. my 40 is

the lighter shade of madrin maroon.mine had

no engine- now has a merc flathesd (1950)like

i said before keep the flathead-- dont go the

inbreeder way -- if the flathead is built right-will go any where with no problems--

one other thing that helps crusing-- columbia

    overdrve-- option for 1940--leave message--

if you need help with parts--suggestions-

    or tech--help

  • thank god some inbreeder has not fucked this

one-up...and left it stock.. just fix tires

    and brakes-add reds headers-smithy mufflers

    and let that flathead talk....

  • paid 12,500....actually just got it today...was trucked in from out of state...bought it over the net...was worth it
