That is correct. Tom Scott's "Today" is the sample source for Pete Rock and CL Smooth's "T.R.O.Y.". The original Jefferson Airplane version was used for Similak Child. And, just as good as that sample is the piano riff from Ramsey Lewis' "Les Fleur".
