I only had a large 160 psi hoop that, like you said, was great for using outside & for waist hooping & stuff but was just too big & heavy for inside but I didn't have the money at the time to buy or make a lighter hoop.. So instead I bought a $5 water hoop from Walmart. At first I couldn't hoop with it at all, but I kept practicing & relearning how to do stuff and now I <3 it! But if I had the money I would probably make a bigger but lighter hoop like you suggested. Your hoops are pretty btw!
