My Girlfriend Got Kidnapped is about a guy who owes his mafia boss money, so his girlfrind gets kidnapped while he try to get her back! This was my third film in film school. There were many problems that happen during this project. An actor was ran over by a car while shooting the last scene in this movie, but i cut it out before you could see it. There were equipment problems and other! My teacher was very hard on me about the way this production went! I shot this with a Beta Camera and Field Equipment. My Girlfriend Got Kidnapped! Written and Directed By Jawaund Ramsey in 1998 at (Florida Metropolitian. University (F.M.U Orlando College).

  • My name is Jawaund Ramsey, the director of this film. You are correct in your criticism, but had you read the information on the right you may have notice that one of our actors was hit by a car and taken to the hospital. This meant I was unable to get long and medium establishing shot and had to shoot on the fly.

Personally, I think AH did a wonderful job capturing my vision.

  • There's another like this where it's a couple in a garage and she gets kidnapped but I can't find it.

  • Everything was coming together nicely until the payoff and the delivery of the hostage. If Allan Hendershot had thought through his scenes in the conclusion, he would not have waved the camera around in panning shots as much as he did. He should have broke it up with more set ups, shooting long, medium and close up shots of all the action that unfolded. I liked the use of black and white as well as the dialogue. Alas, at the end, it just seemed like everyone just wanted to go home.
