  • im probably gonna buy a 1TB time capsule and use it as a hardrive and router besides i need a new router anyway

  • You can also print through time capsule and use it as a router

  • How can I do this?

  • I have a 1TB Time Capsule.

  • Yes you can use the Time Capsule as normal network drive and access it from either Mac and PC. You can set up windows filesharing in the settings of the Time Capsule. It works really great!!

  • Do you think I can send files from a PC to the Time Cap. HD since PCs don't have Time Machine? I'm gonna have 2 iMacs and one Pc in the summer..

  • oops, meant airport extreme, but otherwise everything is the same

  • not really.

For one it's also a darft-n enabled router and one of the few capable of transmission on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz(unfortunately not simultaneously)

But that's all available on the Airport Express. This is an airport express with an inbuilt harddisk. It's a bit more than that actually which is why there are some problems using time machine on a NAS with the airport express.

So in other words, not an external harddrive it's a NAS with inbuilt storage

  • EDIT:- Having said that I do kinda want one :P
