@LordGeorgeRodney Yes, initially serving in a motor training battalion, he transferred to the British Commandos, and was in the thick of combat, including Normandy. Perhaps not looking like any Rambo action star, Niven fought in a real "bad-ass" unit that was the forerunner of many elite forces like the Army Rangers, Special Ops, ect. I doubt any of the idiots with their insults here have half the "onions" he had. Period.
