This is an AMV that I started a little after christmas 2007 and finished mid-February 2008. I got the movie Paprika for christmas and I wanted to make an AMV. So I got to work and went over it a bunch of times and thought "Hey, maybe I should enter this in the AMV contest at anime boston". So I did...about three days before the due date sending it next day shipping. At 11:30pm I got an e-mail about a week or so later and it said that I was a finalist and I screamed for about an hour and my mom joined in about ten minutes in. So even though it didn't win anything, just being in the finals and having it shown to thousands of people was enough for me! So I'm posting this for anyone who saw it at Anime Boston and wants to see it again or for anyone else who is interested. Enjoy!

Footage: Paprika
Music: "Dream A Dream"
Music Artist: Captain Jack
Creator (name used in ballot): Wiz aka DDRMiaka aka me!
Thanks to...my mom for buying me the movie in the first place since I had never heard of it before and all of my friends who suported me through the making of this AMV. Thanks you guys!

  • I'd like to acknowledge that Satoshi Kon, director of this anime, passed away on August 24, 2010 at the age of 46. Kon was a brilliant animator, director, and writer.

"Kon first drew worldwide attention with his feature film directorial debut, the psychological suspense film Perfect Blue, in 1997. He would follow that with a string of critically acclaimed anime projects: Millennium Actress (2001), Tokyo Godfathers (2003), Paranoia Agent (2004), and Paprika (2006)." - Animenewsnetwork.

  • @fullmetalgaara2 Oh no! Did they say what his cause of death was? 46 is too young ;-; Thank you for posting this.
