As the aftershocks from the Dubai debt crisis continue to be felt worldwide, members of the Gulf Cooperation Council have convened in Kuwait City to consider plans for ensuring financial stability in the region. The conference will also weigh proposals for a multi-national electricity grid. The International Monetary fund has forecast a 5.2 percent growth rate for the Gulf region in 2010.
