I miss my siskins aka Sho Lin.

OK, nice to see that you aren't one of these people who say captive bred birds should be released into the wild without realising that they most likely wouldn't survive.
I keep birds myself and I think it's important to keep them in as large a space as you can. I don't like to see birds kept in really small cages with hardly enough room to turn around.

I think my only slight problem is that cages are never big enough for the birds, otherwise i'm not overly against keeping them.
And the sikin (whats he/shes name) will live longer then one in the wild would (no wind of the willows pun intended).

No that would kill it Velasca. No good would come of that.
All I meant was (and I hope no-one takes any affence) that it does seem a shame that we humans just take animals willy nilly and domesticate them.
If the Siskin is happy in its enviroment then that has to be good.
I can't judge from exprience as I have never kept any type of birds in my life.
However I find I can get the same kind of enjoyment from watching "wild" birds at the feeders.

Oh, I see. Nice.

I was talking to the person who said it was cruel for 'wild' animals to be caged. I've kept siskins myself in the past and at the moment I've got Eurasian bullfinches, redpolls, greenfinch x canaries, and canaries
cute greenfinch!!!
