Nice performance. But that guitar delay is really annoying to my ears. I know it's his decision to use it as an artist, but in this case I feel like it's messing up Robert's splendid playing.

@legendaryedge because being popular is not the most important thing for a true artist ;)

@SDsailor7 Dereck trucks, Warren Haynes and Susan Tedeshi

@MrHankNelsonJr I agree 100% he is a dying breed..
But there is still hope..there is a new blues guitarist by the name of Gary Clark jr. he apeared on the Crossroads 2010 and he blew me away!
I believe Doyle Bramhall sponsored him..meaning he recommended him to EC.
He just did a gig at the white house "red white and blues" and some of the other performers were, to name a few..BB king, Buddy Guy, Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, Dereck .
Best wishes

The reason why he isnt major popular is he chooses to play a form of music that is dying...with all the pop and bubblegum crap and how all the new singers buy up all the airtime on radio stations its a closed market. Robert is at the top of the food chain as far as blues and r&b singers and guitar players....make no mistake in the certain circles he is right up there with BB King and all the greats and has toured and or played with all the greats!

Robert, Great Player & singer.....

No offense to the old greats like Clapton and Johnny Winter, but I definitely prefer hearing new material like this to hearing songs that were great forty to eighty years ago.

@TimCampbellMusic no, a music producer

@Reezer83 And what makes you some sort of music professor dick head? Fuck you.

this kind of reminds me of "Poor Tom" by Led Zeppelin. not just the title, but the lyrics too. it's about a worker who murders his cheating wife.
why isnt robert cray more popular? his voice is amazing and his guitar playing is incredible as well.
