@msmithstud Oh, that. What I obviously and logically meant to say was that there were people in every lifeboat. Comprende?
-
@LightStijn YES . You said ''every lifeboat was loaded with people.'' They weren't
-
@LightStijn we both misspoke.
-
@msmithstud "There were lifeboats that were not used" is what you said.
-
@LightStijn google'' Titanic Facts True and Target '' and it says their were 20 lifeboats filled to capacity, but some of the limited lifeboats were lowered only 1/2 full, according to what i read.
-
apparently, there were life boats that were not used and some lifeboats that were used were not filled to capacity. So many lives were unnecessarily lost.

The water was soo cold that night that the average time that a normal sized human (adult) could survive in that water was about 7 minutes. Put it this way. Stick your hand in a cooler thats filled with ice and water. I dont think you can keep your hand in there for more than 2 minutes. Your hand will hurt so bad within the first 30 seconds. Now imagine your whole body feeling that way and you cant do a thing about it. No, I dont believe you would really wanna be there. Be glad too.
