the reason i cannot do grace notes is, it is in fact mechanically impossible..these are parlor pipes....if u attempt a grace notes it doesnt squeal you just get the notes the first finger is on.....i need the get a more expensive chanter or wooden reeds...i dont care who you are you cannot even get grace notes with a 158 dollar set of parlor pipes...need an actual rose wood chanter or somethimg better...plus these are plastic...wood reeds have to contact points not one, like plastic.

Firstly, there is no mechanical reason you should not be able to grace note on that chanter, if it is the reed squealing when you attempt them, then the reed may need adjusting (if possible) Sometimes you can use a mandrel to open up the staple and stabalize the reed, even if the blades are plastic. And unless your reeds are made of cane, they shouldn't require any moisture/break-in, in fact moisture on a plastic reed can make it choke.
