The Car Ride video came before this, the defective camera came after. Either way, I thought this orb was really cool.. Even if it was just a camera malfunction.

I wonder what is wrong with it. The camera was only like 2-3 years old and was a decent quality camera. Well at least it is an excuse to buy a nice camcorder (if I can afford it in the next month or so). :D

Once I get the new camcorder, I'll post the old camera. It turns on....but zooms in and zooms out over again and over again until I take the battery out. The preview screen stays black.

@wildshadows57 eh, probably not really, but its freaky. its got like a klaxon alarm, too, when it happens, along with the static. did u record it with a cell phone? if so, its just picking up interference through the phone. or even if it was a regular camera and u had a cell phone near it. if i have my phone near my computer, the screen goes static for second before the phone even rings. or it could be part of the PA system at the car dealership u are driving by.

@deddlesknoxville I like that answer much better. I hate when people automatically jump to supernatural things. There is always a logical explaination to events. Also, no cell phone around. My camera is down now after that video. I have no idea what is wrong with it now. It focuses and unfocuses over and over again until, I have to take the battery out. I'm going to buy myself a new one for my birthday.

When taking digital video has anyone else noticed distortion that shows up as a weird noise and a green orb? What is this? How can I prevent this?

Here is what I'm talking about.. right around the 50 second mark there is this weird green orb with this freaky *** noise. What causes this?

@KayraJordyn i didn't even notice the bar of green going across the screen at first because i skipped to the 50sec mark where she said it happened. it seems like it happened when they hit a bump in the road or something.

@wildshadows57 it sounds like if the camera quit working, it was just a vivid digital death. my camera only works when it wants to... rarely. it was brand new, too. when i hit record, sometimes it just freezes up and i have to take the battery out, too. it never worked right.

i guess u have to e careful what u buy. digital isn't always great.

(...After eating something) I watched it again, there's already a disturbance occurring before the "orb". Green flashes across the screen horizontally here & there, as well as in the lower right corner. Your camera was already messed up before it broke.

And btw, my cell phone makes my computer screen fuzzy when ringing, and if the speakers are on it causes a jutted beeping, morse-code-esque sound to come through the speakers. It really could be interference of some sort. Did you see, though, a green light kind of comes out of sky from a distance appearing along the sun beam right before this? I think, anyway, maybe I'm being hypersensitive. I'll watch it again. Pretty sure, haha.

I came from Yahoo Answers out of curiosity. I wish I had advice for you, all I can say is this is eerie and VERY cool. I've done light study on the paranormal, but it seems scientists can consistently find explanations behind orbs that are entirely ordinary. I've never seen an orb so in-your-face, though, not even in my photograph collection. I like.
