Parents who have home programs for their children usually get one or two books that are more technical or scientific to guide their home program (beyond the behavior consultant). In this video I go through the usual choices along with offering a few extra to parents that normally are never gotten.
Parents that do discrete trial training (often referred to as ABA) in a home program, know the names of people like the following: Dr. Ole Ivar Lovaas, Catherine Maurice, Dr. Stephen Luce, Dr. John McEachin, Dr. Ron Leaf, Dr. Gina Green, and Dr. Tristam Smith.
you should really have a blog where you have recommended books, it's hard to type them all! :)

Once again, I would add the list of the reviewed books into the description to the video. I would also mention the accompanying tapes for the "ME Book" .
Those, I believe, are extremely important for somebody who has no prior knowledge of ABA. One has to see how DTT is done as opposed to just reading about it. There is another more special book by Edward Carr "How to Teach Sign Language to Developmentally Delayed Children" that is probably also worth mentioning.
