Jin Sook Hwang prepares soon dubu chigae (tofu stew) for The Food Chain, The Chicago Reader's food and drink blog. http://blogs.chicagoreader.com/food/ www.chicagoreader.com
for the stone bowls~ you can find in Korean supermarkets sometimes (but you don't have to have them to make soondubu- you can just use a regular kitchen pot depending on the people and crack the egg/s while it's on the stove)
soon dubu is very delicious, if you wanted to make it at home where would you get the pots? I think thats the key to the flavors....and is it better to use soft or firm tofu?
