Ukraine's opposition leader, Yulia Tymoshenko, has been imprisoned under what western European countries say are politically motivated charges. Now her daughter, Yevhenia Tymoshenko or Eugenia, has spoken out against the treatment of her mother by the current regime. Yulia's husband, Oleksandr Tymoshenko, recently sought political asylum in the Czech Republic over fears that he would soon be arrested. That leaves only Yevhenia to travel from Kyiv to the prison in Kharkiv where her mother is currently serving a seven-year sentence.
Here is what Yevhenia Tymoshenko said during the interview, "When I see her, you know, I have to pick her up, move her, you know, help her to stand up, and it's evident that any slight movement causes very sharp pain.
"So she's much more pale, much more weak, because she hasn't been able to get out for fresh air for over three months now. And she's under constant strain because the lights are always in the cell for 24 hours. That the video camera now has been changed to the so-called like telescopic camera which can see what she's writing, because she has to stay in bed lying down and working, and whenever she writes, they can read.
"And now the regime is doing everything they can to put this pressure on her to break her morale -- to break her psychologically. Because that's, as we know and she's proven now, that's her strongest point. She's a very strong person and brave.
"The repressions have gone so far, and they've crossed the line where my mother's life now is at risk. And you see this line is a very fine line, and once the regime crossed it, we don't know now what could be the consequence of this war against, you know, of the regime against political opponents.
"She's holding on good and strong, I think that because she knows and understands, you know, that her mission is to continue, you know, her fight for democratic Ukraine, and when she comes out, and I'm sure she will, and continue her mission but because she knows that there are so many representatives of the democratic world, the European countries, and leaders of European countries support her that gives her strength and knowledge that, you know, she's there for the reason that she was fighting the regime, not just because she's done something wrong.
"I'm sure, I have the strongest belief in that now with every day passing and with more and more repressions against her, and torture applied against her now, I'm more and more confident that this regime is bound to fall. And I think that Ukraine deserves democratic powers to have, you know, successful end and be victorious."

I hope your mother will understand in jail how much damage she did for your people. ANd maybe she will repent. In that case the Ukrainians will forgive her.
