  • Estimated U.S. oil shale reserves total an astonishing 1.5 trillion barrels of oil - or more than five times the

stated reserves of Saudi Arabia. This energy bounty is simply too large to ignore any longer, assuming that the

reserves are economically viable. And yet, oil shale lies far from the radar screen of most investors. How is it that American has only 3% of the worlds oil reserves?

  • My point is, you can NEVER get away from conventional power plants of one sort or another. People must have power to live and if a wind generator goes down, what do you do? It's takes a 90% power reserve to back up wind generated power. That "reserve" will come from conventional power plants that burn coal, oil, or nuclear material. That will NEVER change no matte how many windmills you stick up. The gov't also subsidizes wind farms. Corporate welfare again.

  • America imports roughly 11,000,000 barrels of oil a day. That's roughly half of our 25% consumption. The 3% known reserve is 50 billion barrels, and I stress the word "known". We need to make FULL use of the technology we NOW have, oil, coal, oil shale, and nuclear power, and develop renewable resources as well. But a conventional power plant must be up and running in case it is needed to back up wind power generators in case of failure. Many people don't know this.

  • Guys, just how is that this whole project of his has anything to do with water ? Don't mind giving any link if there is one. Thanks.

  • No, actually I live on a nice cozy little 1 acre corner lot in the suburbs, and the great thing is I worked real hard and paid for it with my own money, have my own water, installing a windturbine so I don't have an electric bill, and plan to run my cars on CNG and HHO. Oh and by the way I grow my own food too, with my chickens and free eggs to help.

    So, whats you excuse?

  • What army are you speaking of? Last I heard individuals in the army get paid, who are you paying? I understand your plan will help the environment, however, it will help your pocket book more. It doesn't put food on the table of your so called army. So, you want individuals to work for free to line your pockets more, aren't they bulging enough? Share the wealth, pay for the services you are requesting.

  • i like your plan but i think you should help the people who are helping you, offer them some share of the cash you will make.

if you dont, it is very apearent that you are only intrested in this plan for cash from people. please tell me you are not just another oil man who wants to make a quick buck. i know the type.... my dads an oil man himself!

  • I love T. Boone Pickens' view about the wind power energy... I watched him on the news last night He's heading down the right track on the next generations future. You rock Pickens! Call Me!
