A neat little gem from the vast Vince Palamara Secret Service/ related archives: the late Dec. 1963 newsreel regarding the awards ceremonies for Secret Service agents Clint Hill and Rufus Youngblood regarding their actions on 11/22/63 (I spoke to both of these gentlemen). Note LBJ's poor use of words: "losing their heads" (!)

  • Wow they let the president die and they give out awards. What a fucking joke

  • @oldsiamsir24 well put

  • President Kennedy was a very nice man, was NOT difficult to protect, and NEVER ordered the agents off the rear of his limousine (nor did his staff). The buck stops with the Secret Service. Don't believe any books by former agents trying to say otherwise!

  • Rather poor choice of words by LBJ, while others were losing their heads Agent Youngblood didn't lose his...

  • @WTGoff exactly!

  • @WTGoff Can LBJ really be that stupid and insensitive or is he making a sick inside joke?

  • @wunderdoggy exactly

  • @Ralphigirl Sadly that would be AGAIN giving him the benefit of the doubt. His multiple biographers all give him the characterization of being a master of manipulation and cohertion. From his recordings it seems apparent. You cannot coherce someone into doing something they dont want to do without being fairly careful about your choice of words.

  • @wunderdoggy Come on, its LBJ. We're not talking the most articulate of our presidents. He probably never knew what he said until someone told him about it later on.

  • What I have always found interesting is that Robert "Tosh" Plumlee, who was a CIA pilot, admits to flying Johnny Roselli into Dallas the morning of the assassination on a MATS (Military Air Transport Service) flight. One of the mafia heads being flown into Dallas on the morning of the assassination on a private government military flight? Smells like conspiracy spirit to me

  • I am still not happy with the taking of the two agents off the rear of the Kennedy limo. If they were on the back, Oswald would not have had the clear shots that he got.

  • @WTGoff first time i seen and heard this- i cant beleive he used those words, very insensitive. his protectors actions were the opposite of jfk.
