We just purchased the JAWS INSTANT FIREMAN. A Wildland Urban Interface Home Fire Protection System that creates Defensible Space that does not require us the homeowner to put ourselves in danger by operating a hoseline during a firestorm. This system is installed in Placerville, CA. Check out their website www.justaddwatersystems.com
I think if you had strong winds you would be better to get on roof and take a leak .

@Fergo73, my thoughts exactly, great when no wind is about, that water would simply be blown away with 50MPH plus wind. Wildfire is exactly that wild, don't underestimate it's potential get out when you have a chance. This sprinkler system would be great for moderate fires, but I've seen firestorms, relying on a pump and hoses for your life isn't the wisest thing.

I was just wondering how effective this would be when the winds really pick up?
