After 190,000 views on Viemo, we got shut down. Welcome to the new home for the first look video for Wasteland.

This video starts with a sample of some of our favorite radio broadcasts from the cults of the Wasteland. After that, Dev Director Chris Keenan takes you on a tour of the Agricultural Center showing off the UI, Combat system, skills system, and the keyword dialog system.

The video was captured from the game running in the Unity engine, and except for some placeholder portraits and some temp sounds, it is what you can expect to see in Wasteland 2

Well, I have never played an isometric RPG in my life either, and I'm really excited for trying this one out! Stop generalizing, this game looks fun.

With that definition, every game out there is an RPG. To me RPG is something where story through your character's decisions, skills, strenghts and weaknesses. Character progression needs to play important role too.

Care to elaborate, why do you think Baldur's Gate is an RTS and RPG? It RPG of course, but in my opinion it doesn't have anything to do with RTS.

Fallout did not need a new life ,especially not with Gamebryo Engine, which makes games moddable but the games require extensive modding to be playable and the character renders are ugly, but a proper sequel, with isometric 3d graphics.

And any game where you play a character is a RPG.

Bardur's Gate is a rts and rpg.

Fallout 3 is a fps and rpg.

Mass effect is tps and rpg

One game can belong to multiple genre.

Fallout 3 was good game, but a terrible sequel, the true sequel of Fallout 2 was New Vegas, since it continued the story of Fallout 2.

Well, to me a game where you hunt down moving objects with your cursor and shoot at them until they die from first person view, qualifies as an FPS. Sure it had some RPG elements. Taken for what it is, it would be nothing more than incredibly mediocre game at best. Compared to it's predecessors, which it should because it is marketed as sequel, it's terrible game.

Quite frankly, if I had to choose between dead IP and dumbed down console shooter with RPG elements, I'd go with the dead IP.
