Windshield wipers are a brutal core exercise that targets the obliques, an often neglected and hard to work part of the body. This exercise will improve core stability and will specifically improve power and flexibility needed in twisting motions.

  • damn dude i love all you vids, especially because you have other vids that show you how to get to that level, like for example i suck at cat leaps cuz all of my muscle is in my legs and none in my arms, so i ask ppl how to get there better, and people say pul ups, but i can do three pull ups in a row, and it strains me like hell, my brother is into crossfit and will be a trainer for it this september and told me about like kip ups but i suck at them, do have any advice?

  • watch my kipping pull ups video. just keep practicing them hard and they will become easier.

  • core strength, specifically strength and flexibility for twisting motions.

  • Do you think of all these exercises yourself? You and Zeno have the most original exercises really.

  • nah, most of them have been done before, probably all of them. i came up with some of them on my own just by being creative, but i am sure others have done them before me.

  • you need to have the basic requirement first then, you can do a lot more stuff

  • hey bro, wouldn't it be better if you did them in a slow motion? When doing exercises that fast I always think it looks weird.

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg Keeping your upper body as still as possible, move your legs back and forth to each side in a steady motion. Be mindful of your stomach contractions with this exercise. As soon as you get into the staring position, you will have to tighten your abs and keep them tight throughout. If you do not do this, you run the risk of injuring your lower back. Hope this helps! I got it off of livestrong if you want a reference not just someone guessing!
