Well looky here, a shiny new Pintech KD Gig bass trigger and an Alesis Trigger IO module. As you can see, even these new additions to my kit are not enough to solve my issues. With the old problems gone, new problems always seem to crop up. I still havent perfected the module calibration yet, so I am still having issues with playing. Will I ever just get to play this damn game as it was intended?! Im not complaining, though, since these new problems are so much easier to bare. That crosstalk crap was irritating beyond my patience.
It took a LONG time to configure the new bass trigger for my play style. In fact, doing so proved impossible. I needed to alter my style a bit, including moving the "sweet spot", where my foot pushes the pedal, further up toward the beater and reduce the angle my of my leg. Otherwise, double hits were common. The mesh head is much more bouncy than the plain rubber practice pad. This was very unsettling at first, which is why it took so long for a new vid. But, Ive got a playable working method down well enough. Now I just have to deal with the irritating tom pads. The $600 bucks to upgrade to Pintech mesh pads probably isnt going to be conjured for a while...
So here is the first vid with a real Pintech bass trigger (yes, Im still using the Rock Pedal...just not plugging it in) and the Alesis Trigger IO. I would have FCed this if I got the configuration with the TIO right. Oh well, its a work in progress. I recorded quite a few tonight. Sorry about the blur. I didnt realize the focus was off til I had already recorded 18 songs...
@14jvukov Oh, I forgot that I did a quick summary review for the Pintech TC's on the Guitar Center website. I cant put a link in here, but it should be easy to find. Just find the TC on there and sort for lowest reviews first. I gave it 3 stars.

@14jvukov Thanks bud. These are Pintech TC's, which are the lowest line in Pintech's cymbals. The next step up are the PC's, which are the same triggers, but with a harder plastic body. They are much more responsive and sensitive than ION's or the stock RB kit cymbals. I love them, but I did end up breaking the soldered wires after 3 days. That is easily fixed or rigged, but happens pretty quickly for heavy hitters. Ill throw some more info via private message if you want.
